Scholarly editions contextualize our cultural heritage. Traditionally, methods from editorial scholarship have been applied to literary works in order to trace their genesis or map their transmission history. What about the variance of other types of cultural heritage? How can we systematically explore and reproduce them? From the Middle Ages to modern times, from images to audiovisual media, this book brings together discourses from various disciplines to develop a comprehensive conceptual model.
